Iran to Celebrate Eid al-Fitr on Saturday After Ramadan

Iran is set to celebrate Eid al-Fitr on Saturday, following the conclusion of Ramadan, which is determined by lunar observations. Iran's Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, announced that the last day of Ramadan will be Friday, marking the end of the fasting period.

This announcement aligns with the practices of Shia Muslims in Iraq, where top Shia cleric Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani also confirmed the observance. The timing of Eid al-Fitr is significant as it coincides with Nowruz, the Persian New Year, celebrated during the spring equinox.
