Former Governor Ngige Not Kidnapped, Corruption Allegations Surface

Former Governor and ex-Minister Chris Ngige was not kidnapped, debunking rumors spread by speculations. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) have been investigating Ngige for alleged contract irregularities and job racketeering.

Ngige's media aide, Fred Chukwuelob, clarified the situation, emphasizing that Ngige was not abducted. The former minister has faced criticism for his actions during his tenure.

Ngige recounted a harrowing experience of being attacked by gunmen during his time as a minister. The allegations of diverting funds earmarked for Anambra's local government have also been refuted.
