Ngige Remanded in Kuje Prison Over Alleged N2.2 Billion Fraud Scandal

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arraigned Ngige on eight counts of fraud, including accepting bribes and awarding contracts worth millions to companies linked to individuals like Ezebinwa Charles and Nwosu Chukwunwik. Ngige is accused of violating anti-graft laws by allegedly collecting gratifications from contractors of the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF).

Despite pleading not guilty, Ngige faces serious corruption charges dating back to his tenure as a governor and minister.
