Pete Edochie Reveals ₦40,000 Daily Electricity Cost

Pete Edochie, a 78-year-old veteran Nollywood actor, disclosed during an interview with Africa Independent Television that he spends ₦40,000 daily to maintain electricity in his home, attributing this high cost to Nigeria's unstable power supply. Edochie explained that part of this expenditure includes ₦10,000 daily for electricity unit distribution, an additional ₦20,000 for diesel to run a generator, and ₦10,000 for petrol for a second generator.

He expressed worry about the situation, particularly as many citizens struggle with similar issues across the country. Edochie criticized the political class for not focusing on solving the everyday difficulties faced by ordinary Nigerians, highlighting the disconnect between political power and the realities of citizens' lives.
