‘It Was An Error To Field Atiku In 2023’ – Abba Moro Reveals Why PDP Zoned Its 2027 Presidential Ticket To The South

Abba Moro, a PDP chieftain, admitted that it was a mistake to field Atiku in the 2023 presidential election. The party has now decided to zone its 2027 presidential ticket to the South after realizing that Nigerians rejected the idea of a northerner succeeding another northerner in the presidency.

Moro explained that the decision to throw the party ticket open for the 2023 poll backfired, leading to the need to correct the error in the upcoming election. He emphasized that the PDP wanted to put forward the best candidate, hence the zoning arrangement was abandoned.

Moro made these remarks during an interview on Channels Television's Politics Today, where he acknowledged the party's need to comply with the desires of the Nigerian people.
