Italian athlete dies after collapse at World Games

Italian orienteer Mattia Debertolis tragically passed away after collapsing at the World Games in China last week. Despite receiving prompt medical attention at a leading Chinese medical institution, he succumbed to his condition on Tuesday.

The event organizers expressed their condolences, stating that they were deeply saddened by the loss. The President of the International Orienteering Federation, Tom Hollowell, also expressed his sorrow, emphasizing the profound impact of Debertolis' death.
