‘It’s a lie, no plot to replace me’ – Benue Dep Gov, Ode

Benue Deputy Governor, Mr. Sam Ode, has refuted rumors circulating on social media about a plot to replace him ahead of the 2027 general election.

Ode dismissed the claims as lies during a funeral in Owukpa, Ogbadibo Local Government Area. He described the rumors as baseless and aimed at misleading the public.

Ode emphasized that there is no truth to the speculation that Governor Hyacinth Alia intends to replace him or anyone else. He urged the people to disregard the rumors and assured them that his working relationship with the governor remains strong and focused on service delivery.

Ode clarified that there is no plot to replace him and that the allegations are false and meant to create unnecessary confusion in the political space.
