Aregbesola Vows Fidelity to Wife at ADC Campaign Rally

Rauf Aregbesola, the National Secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), publicly affirmed his fidelity to his wife, Sherifat Aregbesola, during a campaign rally in Ejigbo, Osun State, in preparation for the upcoming governorship election scheduled for August 15, 2026. Speaking in Yoruba, Aregbesola stated that he has not engaged in sexual relations with any other woman since his marriage, attributing his commitment to a personal vow made to God.

He expressed that such a declaration might be challenging for many men, but his devotion to God has guided his faithfulness. Aregbesola's remarks were made as political parties ramped up their campaigns ahead of the election, which will see incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke of the Accord Party seeking re-election, alongside Bola Oyebamiji of the APC and Najeem Folasayo Salaam of the ADC.
