Aregbesola Declares Fidelity at ADC Rally in Osun

Rauf Aregbesola, the national secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and former governor of Osun State, declared his unwavering fidelity to his wife, Sherifat Aregbesola, stating he has not been intimate with any other woman since their marriage. This statement was made during an ADC rally in Ejigbo Local Government Area of Osun State, as he campaigned ahead of the upcoming governorship election scheduled for August 15, 2026.

Aregbesola expressed that his commitment to remain faithful is a personal vow reflecting his devotion to God. He emphasized that such a claim is rare among men and shared a prayer he made to God regarding his faithfulness.

The election will see Aregbesola's party competing against incumbent governor Ademola Adeleke of the Accord Party and Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
