Dabiri-Erewa Advocates for Women's Political Participation

During the International Women's Day celebration organized by Zenith Bank at the Civic Centre in Lagos, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Diaspora Commission, called on Nigerian women to actively participate in politics to shape national discourse and contribute meaningfully to the country's development. In her keynote address, she highlighted the importance of greater female participation in governance to ensure women's perspectives are better represented in decision-making processes.

Dabiri-Erewa commended President Bola Tinubu for his inclusive leadership appointments, which have seen women in key government positions. She also praised First Lady Oluremi Tinubu for initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of women and children across the country.

Adaora Umeoji, the Group Managing Director of Zenith Bank, encouraged women to remain courageous and dedicated in their professional pursuits. The seminar aimed to inspire and empower women, promoting social impact and economic participation.
