NDPHC Promotes Gender Equality in Workplace for Women

On International Women's Day 2026, Jennifer Adighij, the Managing Director of the Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC), emphasized the importance of a gender-friendly work environment that enables individuals to reach their full potential. Adighij, the first female leader of the company established in 2005, noted that despite being part of a predominantly male executive management team, she enjoys strong support from her colleagues.

She highlighted the critical role women play in social and national development, stating that empowering women has far-reaching impacts on society. Adighij urged staff to reflect on their willingness to support one another and commit to achieving organizational goals.

Guest speaker Eugenia Abu encouraged female staff to remove self-imposed limitations. Other executives, including Omoregi Ogbeid Ihama and Abdullahi Kassim, acknowledged the significant contributions of women to the company's growth and encouraged continued excellence among female staff.
