JAMB Releases Video Guide for Admission Acceptance on CAPS
On August 28, 2026, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) released a video guide aimed at assisting candidates in accepting or rejecting their admission offers on the Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) portal. The board encouraged candidates who had received admission offers to view the video and follow the provided instructions.
However, the post elicited numerous complaints from students experiencing difficulties with the portal. Many candidates reported that their admission statuses remained stuck on "Not Admitted" for extended periods, despite having received offers from their institutions.
Specific concerns included issues with the SMS acceptance option and the impending August 31 deadline on CAPS. Some candidates, like @Adegbitejohn01, expressed frustration over unresolved issues, such as updating their names on the portal.
Conversely, some users, including @hassanhalimat3, expressed gratitude for the guidance while raising additional queries regarding payment.
