Eddie Jones Suspended for Six Weeks by Japan Rugby Union

Eddie Jones, the head coach of Japan's rugby team, has been suspended for six weeks following a fine related to his behavior during a match officiated in Australia last month. The Japan Rugby Football Union (JRFU) described the incident as a serious matter concerning his contract.

As a result of the suspension, Jones, who is 66 years old, will not be present for Japan's opening match in the Nations Championship against Italy on July 4. Additionally, he will miss two matches against Hong Kong and a warm-up fixture against the Maori All Blacks.

The JRFU has also imposed a salary reduction on Jones as part of the disciplinary measures. Jones has accepted the punishment and expressed deep regret for his behavior.
