Jarigbe Criticizes Ayade Over Senate Race Claims

Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe has publicly criticized former governor Ben Ayade, calling him a political disaster in light of Ayade's claims regarding the Senate race. Jarigbe dismissed Ayade's recent statements as hypocritical and accused him of attempting to rewrite his political legacy.

He highlighted Ayade's suggestion that President Bola Tinubu may not fully understand the political dynamics in Cross River, asserting that individuals are benefiting from the strong opposition to the APC's Muslim-Muslim ticket in the 2023 elections. Jarigbe claimed that Ayade once mocked Hausa traditional attire, revealing a deep-seated resentment towards Muslims, contrary to his current stance.

He insisted that Muslim voters in Cross River North overwhelmingly support Ayade for the Senate. Furthermore, Jarigbe reminded the public that Ayade's political machinery suffered defeats in Cross River North and questioned Ayade's honesty regarding his role in Tinubu's electoral success.

He noted Ayade's failure to deliver for the APC in the general elections and accused him of abandoning the Senate seat for personal ambition, emphasizing a disconnect from current political realities.
