JCI Nigeria Promotes Youth Leadership at 2026 Convention

JCI Nigeria is promoting youth leadership growth at its national convention (NatCon) scheduled for October 2026 in Ibadan, Oyo State. The convention's theme emphasizes the importance of leadership in improving society.

JCI Nigeria's president, Akinbod Abitogun, urged Nigerian leaders to prioritize the nation's interests and empower youth aged 18-40 with leadership skills. The convention is expected to gather around 1,500 participants, including members from JCI Africa and the Middle East.

Ibukunoluwa Otesil, the host president of JCI Ibadan, highlighted the significance of the convention logo, which reflects the heritage of Ibadan and the need for youth to sustain cultural legacies. Adebisi Michael, a director for the 2026 convention, noted the lack of patriotism among Nigerian leaders as a barrier to effective leadership.

The event aims to foster discussions on business opportunities and leadership development among young Nigerians.
