Crystal Palace's Mateta Fails AC Milan Medicals, Transfer Deal Collapses

Crystal Palace striker Jean-Philippe Mateta failed his medical examinations at AC Milan, leading to the Serie A club opting not to proceed with the transfer deal valued at around 30 million. Further medical examinations raised concerns, especially regarding his knee, prompting Milan to pull out at the last moment.

As a result, Mateta will remain at Crystal Palace at least until the summer transfer window. Crystal Palace has already prepared for his potential departure by agreeing to terms to sign Jürgen Strand Larsen from Wolfsburg.
