ADC Suspends Hon. Ali Tukur Gantsa Over Party Issues

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Jigawa State has suspended Hon. Ali Tukur Gantsa, who was recently abducted alongside the late Hon. Abba Anas while returning from a party event in Abuja. Gantsa was rescued alive, while Anas was killed despite ransom payment.
Gantsa, serving as the ADC Northwest zonal organising secretary, faced suspension from his polling unit, Gantsa Fada Yamma Primary School, Unit No. 17-05-04-002, in Buji local government area, due to alleged anti-party activities. The suspension, effective from 19th October 2026 to 19th October 2027, was approved by the ADC Ward Executive Committee on 5th October 2026 and by the ADC Local Government Working Committee on 16th October 2026.
Gantsa dismissed the suspension as unconstitutional, arguing that the ADC National Working Committee had dissolved the party leadership at various levels and questioned the authority of those issuing the suspension.
