ADC Suspends Kaduna Leaders for Alleged Misconduct

The Kaduna state chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) suspended its Chairman-elect, Hon. Ben Bako, and Secretary, Hon. Adamu A. Dattijo, due to alleged gross insubordination, breach of trust, and anti-party activities. This decision was made during an emergency meeting of the party’s State Executive Committee (SEC), which included members from all 23 local government areas.
The SEC, led by state publicity secretary Engr. Idris Musa, accused Bako and Dattijo of failing to report back on campaign activities for the party’s governorship candidate, Rt. Hon. Isa M. Ashiru, and withholding vital information from the SEC. The suspension is effective immediately, pending a disciplinary investigation by a five-member committee, which includes the state legal adviser and other officials.
The committee has 14 days to complete its investigation. During the suspension, the state deputy chairman and deputy secretary will manage the party's daily activities.
The ADC aims to uphold party discipline and prepare for the 2027 general elections.
