Jigawa State Speaker Elected Chairman of Progressive Speakers Conference

Rt Hon Haruna Aliyu Dangyatin, the Speaker of the Jigawa State House of Assembly, has been elected as the Chairman of the Progressive Speakers Conference during the annual congress held in Abuja. The conference, comprising speakers from state houses of assembly under the platform of the APC, aims to enhance coordination and promote the party's ideals to foster unity and contribute to the growth of sustainable democracy and national development.

Other newly elected executive members include speakers from Ebonyi, Nasarawa, Ondo, and other states. The swearing-in of the new executive members is scheduled for Monday, February 9, 2026.

Jigawa State Governor, Malam Umar Namadi, congratulated Dangyatin on his election, expressing confidence in his ability to leverage his experience to strengthen collaboration among APC members and secure the party's victory in the 2027 general elections.
