Jonathan Praises Azaiki as Ritman University Pro-Chancellor

Goodluck Jonathan, the former President of Nigeria, along with other stakeholders, has expressed their congratulations to Professor Stephen Sinikiem Azaiki following his appointment as Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council of Ritman University, Ikot Ekpen, Akwa Ibom State. This appointment was approved by the university's Board of Trustees and is effective for a four-year tenure, starting from June 24, 2026.

Emmanuel Ibok Essien, the founder and visitor of Ritman University, expressed confidence in Azaiki's ability to advance the institution, believing his wealth of knowledge and experience will foster growth and development. The Azaiki Foundation described the appointment as a fitting recognition of Azaiki's outstanding contributions to academia and public service over a distinguished career spanning four decades.

Azaiki has previously served as Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council at Niger Delta University and as a member of the Governing Council at the Federal University of Technology, Akure.
