‘Jonathan should forget 2027’ – PDP chieftain, Okai reveals only way to beat Tinubu

In an interview with DAILY POST, Austin Okai, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), advised former President Goodluck Jonathan to forget about contesting in the 2027 elections. Okai suggested that the only way to defeat President Bola Tinubu in 2027 is for the opposition figures to realign and join forces to produce a single candidate to face the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

He emphasized that the PDP needs to be well-structured to win the 2027 election and that Jonathan should maintain his integrity and not participate in the race. Okai also highlighted the importance of opposition figures coming together to support a single candidate, similar to the strategy used by the APC in 2014.

He urged activists to ensure accurate reporting and called for the government to respect freedom of information and democratic rights.
