Jonathan Meets Tinubu at State House for Political Talks

On Wednesday, Bola Tinubu, the current President of Nigeria, hosted former President Goodluck Jonathan at the State House in Abuja. The meeting commenced at 4 PM in the first-floor office of the President and was part of ongoing consultations between the two leaders regarding West African political affairs.

The visit was confirmed by presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga, who shared photographs of the meeting on social media, showing both leaders engaged in relaxed discussions. Notably, this meeting occurred five months after Jonathan's last visit to the State House in November 2025, which was in a similar capacity.

During that visit, Jonathan led a West African elder forum election observation mission following a coup in Guinea-Bissau. The discussions on Wednesday did not result in an official statement regarding their substance.
