Jonquel Jones made WNBA history during the 2026 WNBA All-Star Game held in Chicago, where she propelled Team Spoon to a 129-122 victory against Team Coop and was awarded the game's Most Valuable Player. Jones, a star for the New York Liberty, recorded 22 points, 13 rebounds, and eight assists, making her the first player in league history to win the World MVP, WNBA Finals, Commissioner’s Cup, and All-Star MVP.

She played with a heavy heart following the recent death of her aunt, stating that basketball helps lift her spirits. Team Spoon showcased a powerful offense, with eight players scoring in double figures.

Caitlin Clark contributed 17 points and five assists, while Nneka Ogwumike scored 11 points, setting a record for the best-ever scoring performance in WNBA All-Star Game history, surpassing Rebekkah Brunson's previous record.
