Jordan Confirms Turkey Venue for Nigeria Friendly Matches

The Jordan Football Association has confirmed that a four-team friendly tournament will be held in Antalya, Turkey, in March 2026, involving the Jordanian national team, Nigeria, Iran, and Costa Rica. This decision comes amid ongoing tensions in the Middle East, which have affected the movement of people.

The tournament is scheduled as part of the teams' preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The first match will see the Jordanian team face Costa Rica on Friday, March 27, while Iran will meet Nigeria.

Following that, Iran will play its second match against Costa Rica, and Nigeria will face Jordan on Tuesday evening, March 31. The Nigeria Football Federation is monitoring the situation and is searching for new venues if necessary.

Meanwhile, Super Eagles coach Eric Chell is expected to announce the squad ahead of the international window, as Nigeria anticipates a verdict regarding their protest against the DR Congo national football team in the World Cup playoffs.
