Court Adjourns Arraignment of Suspects in Jos Attack

On Thursday, the Plateau State High Court adjourned the arraignment of five suspects linked to the Anguwan Rukuba attack that left 30 people dead. The state government filed a suit against these suspects, four of whom were arrested by the State Security Service (SSS).

The suspects—Isa Umar, Ibrahim Auwalu, Abubakar Musa, Abubakar Ibrahim, Adamu Isa, and Alhassan—were brought before the court presided over by Justice J.D. Fomyil.

The court noted that the suspects had no legal representation, which led to the decision to adjourn the matter. Justice Fomyil ordered that the arraignment be rescheduled for April 30, 2026, allowing time for a defense counsel to be appointed.

The court also ordered the remand of the four suspects in SSS custody until the next hearing.
