Plateau Government Arraigns Suspects in Angwa Rukuba Attack

The Plateau State Government has arraigned four suspects connected to the Angwa Rukuba killings that occurred on March 28, 2025, resulting in the deaths of at least 30 people. The suspects, identified as Isa Umar Ibrahim, Auwalu Abubakar, Musa Abubakar Ibrahim, and Adamu Isa Alhassan, were arrested by the Department of State Services (DSS) on April 3 and April 10, 2026.

They face multiple charges, including criminal conspiracy, culpable homicide, illegal possession of firearms, and illegal dealing in arms and ammunition. The case was presided over by Justice Danladi Longden, who ordered the defendants to remain in DSS custody, with the next court session scheduled for April 30, 2026.

The arraignment follows a visit by President Bola Tinubu to Jos earlier in the month, where he assured justice for the victims of the attack.
