Jigawa Governor Shares N1.856bn Among Retirees and Families, Announces Scholarships

The Jigawa State Governor shared N1.856bn among 728 retirees and families of deceased workers. The funds were distributed by the Jigawa State Local Government Contributory Pension Scheme Board.

Additionally, scholarships were offered to Jigawa State indigenes for pursuing higher education. Governor Umar Namadi also ordered the security operatives to allow female members to wear hijabs.

The announcement was made by Sagir Musa, the State Commissioner.
