Jigawa State Pays N1.856 Billion in Pensions to Retirees and Relatives

The Jigawa State Local Government Contributory Pension Scheme Board has disbursed N1.856 billion to 728 retirees, relatives, and deceased civil servants for pension and death benefits. Dr.

Bilyaminu Shitu Aminu, the Executive Secretary of the board, disclosed the recent release during a pension house briefing. The payments included N1.546 million to 607 retirees, N289.793 million to 171 deceased staff, and N21.082 million set aside for 25 shortlisted retirees.

The scheme's commitment to the welfare of workers and beneficiaries was highlighted, with gratitude expressed for the timely disbursement to assist in meeting financial obligations during retirement.
