Judge Orders Sowore's Lawyer to Kneel for Contempt

Sowore is being prosecuted by the Department of State Services (DSS) for allegedly making false claims against President Bola Tinubu on social media. The tension escalated when Abubakar struggled to conclude his cross-examination of a prosecution witness, leading to the prosecution's lawyer announcing the closure of their case.

Abubakar requested an adjournment until July, which was opposed by the prosecution, who argued it was a dilatory tactic. The judge expressed regret over the delays and set a new date for April 13 to adopt final written addresses.

The courtroom incident concluded with Abubakar's colleagues pleading for the judge's forgiveness, and the case was adjourned.
