NNPP Rejects Abdulmumin Jibrin's Expulsion, Calls It Unauthorized

The NNPP has rejected the reported expulsion of Abdulmumin Jibrin, a member representing a Federal Constituency in Kano State, calling it baseless and unauthorized. The party's National Secretary, Oginni Sunday, dismissed the expulsion announcement as a joke, noting that the individual who issued it had already been expelled from the party.

The NNPP argued that the attempt to expel a sitting federal lawmaker was a farce. The party cited court rulings that indicated Jibrin's accusers had no authority to make such decisions.

The situation is further complicated by political allegiances, with warnings that loyalty to certain figures could impact the party's chances in the 2027 governorship election in Kano State.
