APC Wins Key Polling Units at Presidential Villa Election

In the recent FCT area council chairmanship election held on Saturday, the All Progressives Congress (APC) achieved notable victories in key polling units located within the Presidential Villa. At polling unit 002, situated at No. 4 Kofo Abayomi Street beside the office of the mess within the villa, APC garnered 24 votes, while the African Democratic Congress (ADC) trailed with 5 votes.

A similar trend was observed at the polling unit located at the Villa Police Affairs Commission, where APC received 32 votes, significantly ahead of the ADC, which managed to secure only 11 votes. The People's Democratic Party (PDP) finished in a distant third, collecting just 2 votes in this unit.

The results are seen as a morale booster for the ruling party, given the symbolic importance of winning at the President's official residence. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is expected to continue collating results from the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), where five councils participated in the elections.
