APC Youth Leader Arome Adaji and Wife Abducted in Kogi

Arome Adaji, an All Progressives Congress youth leader, and his wife Justina were kidnapped from their residence in Abocho, Dekina Local Government Area, on Wednesday at approximately 8 p.m. Armed men attacked their home along Ajegwuna Road, firing shots and scattering neighbors before abducting the couple.

A local resident, Ndamodu, reported that the couple was inside when the shooting began, and neighbors only discovered the abduction after the assailants had left. Surveyor Eneogba, a community leader, noted a concerning trend of armed gangs targeting homes and agricultural areas in Kogi East, attributing this shift to increased security pressure on roads.

This incident is part of a broader pattern of kidnappings in the region, including the recent abduction and death of Rosemary Adukwu, a councillor from Olamaboro Local Government Area. Kogi State Police spokesperson Saliu Oyiza Afusat acknowledged the incident but provided no further details.
