Bandits Abduct Kaduna Councillor Amid Ongoing Peace Efforts

Bandits have kidnapped Hon. David Ali Gwantu, a serving councillor in Sanga Local Government Area, Kaduna State.

The abduction occurred at his residence in Gwantu town, with assailants taking him in the presence of his family. This incident follows a deadly attack in Southern Kaduna, where seven victims, mostly minors, were buried.

Despite the state government's peace efforts, bandit attacks persist in the region, raising concerns about the effectiveness of the peace deal. Governor Uba Sani has defended the peace strategy, emphasizing the need for transparency and justice for victims.
