Bodies of Missing Policemen Found After Benue Attack Tragedy

The bodies of eight missing policemen, part of a group declared missing after a deadly attack near the Ukum border in Benue State, have been found. Following the ambush by armed assailants on a joint security team at Agu Centre, near Ukum, a total of 11 casualties were recorded, including 10 policemen and a member of the Benue State Community Protection Guards.

The recovery of the bodies was confirmed by Dr. Justin Shaku, the Chairman of the Local Government Area. The incident, which occurred on a Friday, involved a violent clash that resulted in three confirmed deaths on the scene, with the remaining eight officers initially declared missing until their remains were discovered.
