FCT Resident Doctors Suspend Strike After Senate Intervention

The Association of Resident Doctors in the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has suspended its indefinite strike following Senate intervention. The doctors, working in 14 district general hospitals, had been on strike for a month over salary arrears and other demands.

The FCTA had requested immediate recruitment of new staff, settlement of salary arrears, and other financial issues. The doctors' demands also included a clear timeline for completing the skipping conversion process and correcting salary deductions.

The suspension of the strike aims to address these issues and ensure the smooth functioning of healthcare services in the FCT.
