FG Denies Religious Genocide Claims in Nigeria - Strong Response to Allegations

The Federal Government of Nigeria has refuted claims of religious genocide in the country, dismissing reports alleging systematic attacks on Christians by terrorists. Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, labeled the claims as false, baseless, and aimed at sowing division among citizens.

Idris emphasized that Nigeria's security challenges should not be misrepresented as a religious war, highlighting the government's commitment to combating terrorism. The Minister cited recent military successes in neutralizing terrorists and rescuing hostages, including the capture of a top commander of the Jama'atu Ansarul Muslimina in Sudan.

The government remains focused on eradicating terrorist groups and ensuring the safety of all Nigerians.
