Former Abia Governor Sen Orji Resigns from PDP Amid Broader Exodus

Former Abia State Governor, Sen Orji, has officially resigned from the People's Democratic Party (PDP) after a notable political career with the party. Orji, who led Abia State from 2007 to 2015 and later served two terms as a senator, cited wide consultations with family and associates as the basis for his decision.

His resignation letter expressed gratitude to the party but made it clear that his departure was final. This move follows the exit of other prominent figures like former First Lady Odochi and his son Chinedum, who have also left PDP for the All Progressives Congress (APC).
