Gombe State Commissioner and Police Orderly Die in Tragic Car Accident

Gombe State Commissioner of Internal Security Affairs, Col. Abdullahi Bello, and his police orderly, Sergeant Adamu Hussaini, lost their lives in a car accident on the Malam Sidi-Gombe road.

Col. Bello, a retired military officer, was returning from a security meeting in Maiduguri, Borno State, related to the North East region's development and disarmament efforts.

Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya expressed deep sorrow over the loss, praising Col. Bello's dedication and service to Gombe State.

The driver of the commissioner sustained injuries and is receiving medical treatment. The state government will announce funeral details in due course.
