Governor Eno Meets Tinubu After Defecting to APC

On Wednesday, Governor Eno of Akwa Ibom State visited President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja. This meeting occurred shortly after Eno's formal defection from the People's Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC), which he announced on June 6, 2025, at the Government House in Uyo.

Eno described his decision to leave the PDP as significant and not taken lightly, noting that it followed three months of extensive consultations with critical stakeholders across the state. He expressed gratitude to the PDP for its support during his tenure but stated that his move to join the APC was driven by admiration and respect for President Tinubu and the need for Akwa Ibom State to align with the federal government for greater development opportunities.

Eno assured the people of Akwa Ibom that his defection would not affect his commitment to their welfare and that he would continue to work tirelessly for the benefit of the state and its citizens.
