INEC Denies Disobeying Court Order for Mahmood Yakubu's Arrest

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has refuted claims of disobeying a court order for Mahmood Yakubu's arrest in Osun State. INEC Chairman Sam Olumekun stated that they have complied with the court's directives by recognizing the Action Alliance's electoral activities.

The dispute arose from the inclusion of names in the list of national executives, with Rufai Omoaj challenging his removal as the party's chairman. INEC clarified that Omoaj's appeal is pending in the Supreme Court, preventing his listing as the party's chairman.
