Lawmaker Alleges Discrepancies in Gazetted Tax Laws Passed by NASS

Lawmaker Abdulsammad Dasuki from PDP Sokoto raised a privilege matter in the House of Representatives, alleging that the recently passed tax laws differ from the gazetted versions released to the public. Dasuki highlighted discrepancies between the debated and approved versions in the National Assembly, emphasizing the need for alignment.

He warned that releasing altered versions of laws to the public undermines legislative credibility and amounts to breaches of constitutional provisions. Dasuki urged the Speaker to ensure that the harmonized versions are circulated for comprehensive review.
