National Assembly Clerk Clarifies Senator Natasha's Suspension Status

The Clerk of the National Assembly, Barrister Kamoru Ogunlana, clarified the suspension of Senator Natasha in Kogi Central. Ogunlana emphasized that the Senate or a competent court will decide on the Senator's fate regarding resuming legislative duties post-suspension.

The matter remains sub judice, awaiting a new Senate resolution or a binding court order for resumption. The Senate had suspended Senator Natasha on March 6, 2025, and the Federal High Court's nullification of the resolution is under appeal.

Ogunlana reaffirmed the commitment to due process and constitutionalism in handling the Senator's suspension.
