Former ECOWAS Parliament Member Condemns Suspension of Senator Natasha in Nigeria Senate

Former ECOWAS Parliament member, Fatoumatta Njai, expressed disappointment over the continued suspension preventing Senator Natasha from resuming her seat in the Nigerian Senate. Senator Natasha, representing Kogi Central, has been unable to return to the Senate due to a pending court case since her suspension in March.

Njai criticized the decision, stating that it obstructs the reinstatement of the senator and highlights the challenges faced by women in Nigerian politics. Njai, a former ECOWAS Parliament member, emphasized the struggles and hurdles female parliamentarians encounter in getting elected and serving in office.
