Niger Governor Declares 2-Day Holiday for LG Elections

The Governor of Niger State, Farmer Moham Umaru Bago, has declared a 2-day public holiday before the upcoming local government elections. The holiday, announced by the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Abubakar Usman, aims to enable residents to engage in the electoral process effectively.

The work-free days will ensure eligible voters have the opportunity to visit polling units and cast their ballots. Market, banks, and public offices will be closed, with limited movement allowed for essential duties.

The election scheduled for November 1, 2025, presents a chance for Nigerlites to choose capable leaders for grassroots development and representation.
