NLC Condemns Senate President for Dictatorial Actions in Senator Natasha's Suspension

The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has accused Senate President Godswill Akpabio of engaging in legislative dictatorship over the suspension of Senator Natasha. The NLC President, Joe Ajaero, criticized the Senate's refusal to reinstate the lawmaker despite a court ruling voiding the suspension.

Ajaero described the suspension as a dangerous assault on democracy and a slide towards fascism, disenfranchising the people of Kogi central senatorial district. The NLC condemned the Senate's actions as an abuse of power and an attempt to silence dissent and manipulate the judiciary for political persecution, calling it a threat to democracy and the Nigerian people's rights.
