Nobel Laureate Malala Yousafzai Boosts Girl Education in Nigeria

Nobel Peace Prize laureate Malala Yousafzai visited Nigeria to focus on girl education initiatives. During her visit to Abuja, she engaged with young Nigerian girls, education advocates, government officials, and civil society leaders to accelerate progress in promoting education for girls.

The visit was part of the Malala Fund's efforts to support local initiatives in Nigeria, where they have invested $8 million since 2014. The Fund aims to remove barriers to education, particularly for girls affected by early marriage, and has pledged $50 million globally for education initiatives, with a significant portion earmarked for Nigeria.
