Osun APC Alleges Corruption in N130 Billion Airport Project

The Osun chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has expressed alarm regarding a reported increase in the cost of an airport project in Governor Ademola Adeleke's hometown, alleging corruption and mismanagement. The APC claims that the project's cost has escalated from N99.5 billion to N130 billion, raising questions about the rationale behind this upward revision.

The Osun APC Governorship Campaign Council has called for the Adeleke administration to provide a detailed account of expenditures related to the project, highlighting that a substantial portion of the revised contract sum has already been paid. The APC's statement indicates that the reported cost of the airport project exceeds the combined budgetary allocations for the state's economic sector in 2025.

They have urged the state government to make financial records public to dispel suspicions regarding the management of state resources. The statement also referenced allegations of the project being a conduit for misappropriating state funds, underscoring the need for transparency in the administration's financial dealings.
