Kaduna Police Investigate Violence at ADC Meeting Linked to Former Governor Nasir

The Kaduna State Police Command has initiated an investigation into the violence that erupted at a political gathering linked to former Governor Nasir in Kaduna. The gathering, reportedly associated with a faction of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) coalition, led to sporadic gunfire allegedly by suspected thugs, causing panic and breaching public peace.

The Command's Public Relations Officer, DSP Mansir Hassan, stated that the meeting was convened without prior notification to security agencies. The police warned that venues hosting political meetings without proper notification would face consequences.

The ADC's authentic leadership denied knowledge of the event, distancing themselves from the organizers. The investigation is ongoing to hold anyone found culpable accountable under the law.
