Tension Rises as Police Summon El-Rufai and ADC Leaders in Kaduna

Former Kaduna State Governor, Malam Nasir El-Rufai, and key members of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) have been summoned by the state police command for questioning on allegations of criminal conspiracy and incitement. The tension escalated following violence in the state, with the government accusing the ADC of plotting to destabilize Kaduna through provocative actions and inflammatory statements, which the ADC denied.

The police letter dated September 4, 2025, summoned El-Rufai and ADC Vice Chairman Jafaru Sani for interrogation. The Kaduna state government vowed not to tolerate any actions that could lead to violence or insecurity in the region, emphasizing the need for peace and stability.
