Police Announce Burial Arrangements for Late Ex-IGP Solomon Arase: Tribute Events and Funeral Details

The Nigeria Police Force has disclosed the burial arrangements for the late former Inspector General of Police, Solomon Ehigiator Arase, who passed away on August 31, 2025. The burial activities will commence with a Day of Tribute on September 24 at the Nigeria Police Resource Centre in Jabi, Abuja, followed by a Requiem Mass at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Maitama, Abuja, on September 26.

The burial ceremony will culminate in a Funeral Mass on October 3 at St. Paul Catholic Church in Benin City, Edo State.

Arase, known for his innovative leadership and commitment to the police force, will be fondly remembered for his contributions to community policing and officer welfare.
